Course Description

The Trade Practical will assist trainees in obtaining an international equivalency standard, allowing their skill proficiency and competency to be recognized across the globe, while also expanding the scope of prior learning recognition and providing opportunities for lifelong learning and skill development. Students will also have the chance to foster lifelong learning and skill development.

This course illuminates the working of AC circuits, Magnetism and Capacitors, Transformer, Cells and Batteries, Basic Electrical Practice, Domestic Appliances, Safety practice and hand tools, Basic Wiring Practice, Wiring Installation and Earthing, Measuring Instrument, Illumination.

What you will learn?

✔ Internal Working of Transformer

✔ Measure the resonance frequency in AC series circuit and determine its effect on the circuits

✔ Measure the resistance, impedance and determine the inductance of choke coils in different combinations

✔ Measure current and voltage and analyse the effects of short and open in series circuits

✔ Test underground cable for faults and remove the fault

✔ Prepare hand coil winding assembly

✔ Preventive measures for electrical accidents and practice steps to be taken in such accidents

✔ Wire up PVC conduit wiring to control one lamp from 3 different places

✔ Test earth leakage by ELCB and relay

✔ Install light fitting with reflectors for direct & indirect lightings

✔ Dismantle and assemble electrical parts of various electrical appliances for example cooking range, geyser,  washing machine and pump set
